Optimar participates in Norway – Türkiye cooperation initiative to strengthen seafood industry collaboration
Optimar is among a select group of companies participating in the establishment of a new Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) between Norway and Türkiye.
The goal is to strengthen trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries. The agreement marks an important step in improving market access and addressing practical barriers to trade.
Strengthening collaboration between industry and authorities
The JETCO framework is designed to identify and resolve challenges related to international business operations, such as customs procedures, regulatory barriers and market access. Through structured dialogue between authorities and industry representatives, the initiative aims to create more efficient conditions for cross-border trade.
– For companies operating internationally, predictability and efficient processes are essential. Initiatives like JETCO help address real challenges and create better conditions for cooperation between countries, says Håvard Worren, Sales Manager in Optimar.
Building presence in Türkiye and the Black Sea region
Through this initiative, Optimar is contributing to building stronger industry connections in Türkiye and the surrounding region – an area with significant potential for growth within aquaculture and seafood processing.
The signing of the agreement was accompanied by a business event gathering Norwegian companies operating in Türkiye, providing a platform for dialogue, networking and further collaboration.
