Optimar delivers stun and bleed system to the Service Boat "FDA Emilie"

In order to get the highest efficiency, the vessel will be equipped with a bleeding system from Optimar. It will have two fish tanks with a total capacity of 115 cubic meters.

– "FDA Emilie" is already a solid service boat with high capacity for cranes and deck equipment. It is designed to function both as a service boat and as a bleeding boat, explains Tommy Grønning from Finnsnes Dykk & Anleggservice.

"A Kinder Egg"
– We have been in dialogue for over a year to find the best solution, and the result is a real powerhouse of a boat. It can be used for anchoring, net handling, and bleeding – a true Kinder Egg, says Hans Owen Thunem, VP Global Sales Aquaculture at Optimar.

"FDA Emilie" is the 12th vessel delivered by Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted featuring an Optimar solution. Thunem highlights a strong partnership.

– We consider Fitjar to be one of the leading shipyards in the construction of bleeding boats, and it's always exciting to be challenged with new concepts together. Their technical team has done an impressive job, and the result is a flexible and future-oriented vessel, he states.

Ready in six months

Grønning from Finnsnes Dykk & Anleggservice is impressed with the collaboration between Optimar and Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted.

– It has been a very smooth process, and the partnership between Optimar and Fitjar seems to work very well. We feel that we are in good hands, he says.

The vessel is scheduled to be ready in time for the Aqua Nor exhibition in August. After the exhibition, it will go straight into operation, but its exact destination remains a secret for now.
