Our head office is located on Valderøya outside Ålesund, but with us, you will have colleagues all over the world: Spain, Romania and the USA. In total, we are around 265 committed employees who work to solve both small and large challenges in the seafood industry.

Fish handling with care
It may have started with automation, but now we’re all about perfecting it. Not just for an efficient and competitive seafood industry.
The world's population is growing and sustainable management of fish stocks is crucial to ensuring enough nutritious food for future generations.
Apprentices and trainees
Every year, we welcome between 5 and 10 apprentices in various fields. With us, you will receive close follow-up from skilled professionals in collaboration with the training offices. You will gain experience with real projects and a solid start to your career in a global technology company.
We work closely with high schools, vocational schools and universities to develop expertise and build talent internally. Collaboration with students and academia makes us better, both as a workplace and as a company. Several of our employees have even completed a doctorate in combination with their work at Optimar.
