How it works:

The freezer has a stack of plates that is placed under pressure from a top frame held down by pressure cylinders that ensure maximum product contact and rapid freezing. To open the stack of plates when feeding products, an opening tool is placed on each side of the stack with the station to be filled, and then the stack of plates is opened using powerful cylinders. If desired, the stack of plate pressure tool can also provide full pressure while opening the stack of plates. When the stack of plates has one station open, a loading unit will quickly feed products into the opening.

When the freezer is fully loaded with products, a row of finished products will exit to an output unit each time a new row of products is pushed in. Between each cycle, the return pusher ensures that the products are correctly placed on the freezing plates. When the freezer is to be emptied, the feeding process stops while the output process continues until the freezer is empty. The emptying is fully automatic regardless of how many frame inserts are in it.

The freezer can be equipped with an automatic washing system that CIP-washes and dries the freezer plates.
