Z1 OptiFreeze™

Makes sorted stacks of frozen goods for palletizing on board easier. Z1 OptiFreeze collects frozen products (a given number of different cartons/bags of agreed size) and temporarily stores them in a shelving system inside the freezer room (hotel). When a corresponding pallet of a product is stored on the shelves, it exits from Z1 OptiFreeze and continues to palletizing.

How it works:

When they enter the system, a hatch opens and an XY-axis servo-driven elevator unit will pick up the product and drive it to a suitable location for temporary storage. The XY elevators can then provide ready sorting for palletizing, as soon as there is enough for a full pallet. It can run infeed at the same time as direct palletizing running in parallel, so that all but one type of item goes to the hotel. This gives a total palletizing capacity from the factory that is higher than the hotel’s receiving rate. You have full visibility via HMI screens of the current content of the hotel at all times, and you can signal when you want to drive a new pallet and which type you want. You can create specific mixed pallets based on the desired layout.

Capacity:

The capacity depends on the following factors: Length and height of the freezer room, number of products on the shelf and number of infeeds. Example: Room: 8 m length, 2.95 m height, 4 main cartons on the shelf and 1 infeed:

Receiving rate: >=2 cartons per minute.
Delivery rate: >= 8 cartons per minute.
